 Tachometer Fitment Question.....

Guys,
I need your wisdom and help here. Will a tachometer off a 2005 America/Speedmaster work on my 2012 EFI America? I know they are both electronic tachs, but what about the '05 America and speedy being carbed bikes? Does that make any difference or not?

Don't know about the plugs but they both work the same way off the same type of ignition. So should work, also not sure about dia.

The older gauge faces are white, 2012s are black, wont match the speedo, if that matters.

Not sure if they changed the diameter of the tach at any point.
