Here's another that just got introduced.

Vulcan S MY15.... 650.

Hmmm... Parallel twin 650cc? Modern hipster bike?

One thing I did like in the presentation are the 3-way adjustable footrests. That's a nice touch.

Exhaust is utterly boring in my view. But overall not too bad looking.

Did ya hear it - "Go your way"
Copying anything is the purest form of flattery...

And yes - my first impression was it is sort of ugly, but the more I look and comparing against the Bolt and the new mini Harleys, I think there is a reasonable amount of appeal. It ain't no Triumph though.

drop that stock exhaust and shed probably 60 pounds!
it definitely has some interesting styling features, but the rear fender flowing into that huge chunk of plastic isn't one of them... I think it's crap that they act like they're setting some sort of precedence in lightweight p-twin cruisers, like Triumph hasn't been doing it for over a decade now.
it's not awful looking, and I bet they will sell if priced reasonably

7300 bucks with ABS is a pretty good number. It probably will have the same torque and HP numbers at the 865cc Triumph with the Ninja motor.

3 positions for pegs and multiple positions for bars, liquid cooled and ABS to save your life. I bet they sell a bunch of them. Would I buy one? No, I am into bigger but the commuter person with limited parking issues will surely buy it.

That ABS option only takes it to 7300 bucks. Triumph needs to get ABS on the smaller cruisers IMHO>

Supposed to have 61hp.I'd say that's at the engine not back wheel.

Yep.I think the EFI Americas are said to have 61hp at the crank.

This is 216cc smaller though.

I just checked the weight and the Vulcan is supposed to be 228kg [513lb] wet and the America 228 kg [513lb] dry

So basically the same power with a slight weight advantage going to the Kawa.

I like it! I think a 650cc cruiser is a great idea, and the adjustability features are pretty cool!

I think it looks pretty good as a package. That muffler/muffler guard would need some attention. What could it be that it's covering up
I love my America but wonder if it were to need replacement, would I look for something a little smaller (in cc's) but sporty??

Would I sell my America to get one? NO! It's a TRIUMPH!
but as a second bike? YES.
I spend time in Thailand and as the America sells for 50%more there. That's 50 PERCENT! more than Australia.I maybe interested in a Vulcan S for Thailand.
There's a good chance it's made in Thailand anyway as a lot of Kawas [and Hondas]are these days. That equals a MUCH cheaper bike.
Triumphs are made there too apparently , but sent to the UK, then sent back to Thailand attracting huge import and luxury taxes.

Not bad looking, reminds me of Eliminator 4 cylinder we used to get years ago, and there are lots of tuning parts for these Kawasaki twins as the race them here in super twins class and at TT.

I really like the green walls. It reminds me of the classic wagon queen family truckster (in metallic pea of course)
So hideous that you can't not look.

I don't hate it. I look at all bikes with a, "What would I change." mentality anyway.
I like the adjustable controls.

Yeah, it's not eye-catching to me.

If you're looking for a mid-sized machine in that range the Speedmaster and America are way nicer looking and performance will likely be close enough.

For a few thousand dollars more, you could have an Indian Scout. Just sayin'...
