Different strokes for different folks, as we always say around here. Still, I hope he rescued one that was wrecked instead of a new one. And, ya gotta LOVE those stickers...

Well, ya know Rich, not ALL Indians have to have those voluptuous valance fenders. Read the link and you'll see that this Indian was a pre-production Polaris test mule, and the guy who got possession of it and had it bobbed did so because he was going to(and did) run it in this year's Cannonball Run which goes off-road for some of its route. (...yep, I think it's a great lookin' modern rendition of a post-WWII Indian Bobber)

It'll be interesting to see what else Indian can use the TS111 and Scout 69 engine for. I bet the liquid-cooled 69 would be perfect for a dual sport platform.

Nah, the valanced fenders is the signiture of the classic Indian. Above everything else, it is what stands out as the most eye catching feature. But like I said, I don't have a problem with anybody else wanting it a different way.

True, which is why the Chief/Chieftain/Roadmaster have them.
That being said, the Springfield Indians didn't have the big fenders until 1940, and the warbonnet on the front fender didn't appear until 1948?
Expect big things from Indian going into the future. The Scout is just the start of it.

Gee Dwight, I think this is the first time I've ever had a aesthetic disagreement with you about anything.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

What's sad is that she's going to the crusher as soon as Polaris gives the word.

Dwight, so rarely do we disagree. I think it's a mess. That mass of enclosed whatever under the seat is pure Vespa, the contour of that attempted bob-job on the rear mudguard is an angular tragedy. That huge Indian head lamp has no business on a bobber. In short, it has no flow. and Polaris can and should call it home as soon as possible.
