What is the reasonably priced A/F gauge you guys are using? I picked up some FCR39's and will be doing some tuning this winter and figure this is essential. Carbs, cams, clutch, pistons maybe, are on the agenda.

To get best results really should tune the A/F when the temp and humidity are what you will be riding in most.

I have an Innovate LM2 that I have been pretty happy with. tuning the FCRs is interesting, there are a lot of variables that can be adjusted on these. so a lot that can get away from you. but once you get them dialed they really kick a** and to expand on Ian's suggestion, since you are in MI the fuel will not be the same in winter as summer and that will effect your tuning as well. In fact I would pick a single grade and source of fuel and stay with it throughout your tuning process.

That is the one I've been looking at Mag. I've been trying to decide between mounted and not mounted.

I also have an LM2, non-perm mount. I have a set of headers where the crossover pipe has been cut out and O2 bungs welded in place. My problem is that Ive not been riding much the last couple years (due to work being busy) so when I am riding Im riding not tuning. At least its there and ready for when I do get off my ass and start tweaking again. I should add... I used it to tune Karens bike when she started having carb issues. Pre LM2 I was going out of my mind. Post LM2 (and some forum help) allowed me to see data that helped significantly to decide the right direction to go when making adjustments.

Sounds like we should have a similar set up when I'm done, Z. I might have to pick your brain. That is my thinking, that I will be chasing my tail with timing without a meter.
