Thanks for the info guys.
This morning I tried playing with the choke per "mikemm03" and "roadworthy" and it did start up right away.
I will also look into the regulator/rectifier, altho I am not familiar with electrics.
I am willing to give it a try, if its easily accessible and not too difficult to swap out?
I can't afford to take it to the shop
