The hoops are a double edged sword as the alloy ones are roadside plug-able, that is, fugly but repairable whereas the spoked hoops will leave one in a large pond with no oars. I've not had issues keeping air in them either. Recent 3K ride and loss of air was 1.5 lbs, i.e., from 41 psi to 39.5 psi. Likewise for the rear. (btw the MOD designation is redundant as chy, wojo and I inherited ADMIN powers from the good Friar.)
I didn't think of that Moe.Although if I got a flat out on the road the only way I'd be able to fix it would be to stick one of my ten thumbs in the hole. I have started parking my bike with the tires on some old carpet as some cushioning instead of on the cement garage floor after a friends suggestion.I don't know if this is Voodoo, black magic,or wishful thinking ,but the air loss doesn't seem as bad as before. It was only when parked awhile on the cement I noticed the loss of about a pound a week.
As for Admin./Mod or what,You do a fine job whatever it's called.
