ahem, although still beautiful there are several attributes that render the 07 model not up to the beauty of the prefires. The lack of spoke wheels for one. Tapered fork shrouds another. Then there are the non visible narrow steering stops. The forward control hardware is a bit george jetson as well.
One thing that still has an 07 on top of all later models is the classic 'speed twin'ish' styled tank, non bullet speedo, and 15"/18" hoops.
The 07s are beautiful, much like Elinor, while the spoked versions are gorgeous like Marianne. Sense and sensibility seems to have been abandoned in recent model years.
