Getting over falling over in front of the neighbor... Fell over in front of my drive in a right hand turn when the motor stalled, almost stopped, couldn't reach the ground until I fell over to the right... too far..... Other then damage to my pride, I have some deep scratches in the mirror stalk and back of the right mirror. It seems like I should be able to minimize this. Any suggestions how? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I might have an original RH lollipop mirror in good shape, yours if you want to pay the shipping. I'll check when I get home... R/L

There is a good chance you will need to clear out the rolover valve in the tank vent hose. Take off the tank and follow the vent hose toward the far end and you'll find it. Pop off the hose that goes to the tank, drain out any gas that might be in the hose and valve. Giving the valve a good shake often resets it.

Thanks GB, I had a question about that and the rear brake reservoir thing. Everything seems to be working like it should and I rode about 120 miles after my mishap, so.... the rolover valve thing should be OK? I hope, should I look into it anyway? Thanks for the input. Ride safe,

I hate seeing these titles for threads. No way around it, just scares me. Glad you are not broken. They made lots of Triumphs but you just have a limited number of limbs.
If it ran 120 miles with no issues its okay cept for its owners pride.

The brake problem seems to happen mostly when it goes over on the left side. To test the rollover valve, set the bike in the morning sun with about 1/2 tank of gas and the petcock closed. around noon when the tank has gotten good and warm, loosen the filler cap and listen for hissing that would indicate a pressure buildup.

Just installed the scratchless stock mirror from Speedracer, Thanks, it looks great, helps me forget the mortification of falling over and makes me think about custom mirrors! Any suggestions?
