Ok, So the bolts that hold the clutch cover on are different sizes. This I know, however I have one that is medium in length compared to the others (just one). I can't seem to remember what spot it fits in. I know, I know, should be easy to figure out and maybe it is but I seem to be over looking something. Thread depths are the same on the engine...I have 4 long,7 short,5 medium and ONE that is between medium and long, ONE. Anyone have this before.

I've lost 2 clutch cover bolts over the years. Both were close to the foot peg/forward control bar. A quick look at mine & it looks like I have 4 long, 6 medium and 7 short bolts. The top short length bolt closest to the foot peg was the last one I replaced.

As long as the bolt threads in the diameter of the bolt plus one thread, you have your engineered moneys worth of capture. A smart fella with a Eng. Degree told me that.
