Iwas wondering how the oil in Brents oil change kit compares to mobil or amsoil. I guess its ok to run oil without the T additive huh? I called Mobils 800# and they told me the Mobil T oil is specially formulated for Triumph, i dont know much about it except what it says in the manual. Other alternatives?

I was...going to buy Brents oil for my next change but based on the many threads on "oil" in these here "August" forums .....I decided to just use Crisco oil. Its clear and clean looking and holds up under temperature extremes very well.

Excellent for wet clutch applications and high revving high performance cycle engines.

Just ask Pat.

The amsoil is fine. So is Mobil One MX4T full synthetic. And of course the oil on brents site is acceptable as well.

Just punch in "oil" in the search feature and you will find more threads on oil and filters than you probably have time to read.

I am running Brent's oil right now. Bike runs great, altho a little on the hot side. But I'm not convinced that is the fault of the oil.

Not to take business from Brent, but you can also get 15W50 that meets all of the Triumph specs at any BMW Motorcycle dealer, and the same price as Mobil 1 20W50 (about $6-7 a quart)

I have Amsoil in and no chicks are whislin....wel..ll. if they are ..how do they know what oil is in there? That is a question for the ages.

I have the pretty blue filter from Pure One in there as well...adds horsepower for sure to all BLACK speedmasters.

We need Dinqua to monitor this thread.

Regarding Mobil 1 Motor Cycle oil. I was told that for dealers, Triumph holds exclusive rights on distribution. Meaning you can buy it at stores but not directly from any cycle dealer other than Triumph
