Has anyone successfully separated the headlight glass and reflector?

Mine is very dirty inside and I was wondering if it is possible to give it a good clean.

I don't have one in front of me, but aren't the reflector and glass glued together? If they are, you should be able to use a razor knife and some patience to split them. Find the appropriate glazier adhesive for when you go back together. Maybe a couple of match marks with a Sharpie so you can put it together exactly as it was.

Just make sure you don't touch the reflector. The chrome like material is very delicate and can't be wiped with any real pressure. You almost have to swab it with alcohol laden cotton swabs. Test in an inconspicuous area.

Would be easier to mod it to a sealed headlamp bulb. It's easy and is a better light. They sell for 10.00 to 15.00 here in US

you can't wipe them they will mar and turn black (ask me how i know) the only thing you can do is place soap and water in there and rattle it around and hope that the crap you want out is out. The main reason that gets dirty is your seal between the light and the headlight is not wight and crap is getting behind there into the headlight casing.

Don't really want to go to a sealed beam as I'm considering changing to HID down the track.

Why not the sealed beam in the mean time, way cheaper than a new reflector is going to be and you can still HID later if you still want to.

Why not fit an ADJURE HEADLIGHT

I fitted one and noticed a big difference in light output on the road. I did have to modify my retainer spring to get it to seat with the old retainer ring.

or get the 50.00 LED

One way or another I'd turf the OEM for virtually anything because ANYTHING can only be better. I have the Adjure with a PIAA bulb. LED is next.

I got an entire Adjure stretch headlight for about $100 on Ebay.

It has the option for a 60/55W globe or a 100/55W globe. Does anyone know if our wiring looms can handle 100W high beam current?

Well the one above didn't work, it wouldn't sit flush in the ring.

I'm thinking of getting the Adjure Trillient with a PIAA globe now, some people have reported that it can be a pain to fit? What is so tricky about it?
