I've been prowling this site for a couple months now and let me start of by saying thank you to all for helping me compile a shopping list. Already picked up the switchblade footpegs now I'm moving on to a windshield. I'm leaning towards the Memphis Shades Alley Cat, because I think it interferes the least with the lines of my Speedmaster; however, I am 6'4" and I was wondering whether or not it would make things worse by sending the air right to my head. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have the Alley Cat, I'm 5'-11" tall with a 30"+- 1" inseam, and have the shade set as low as it can go on the forks...you can move it higher by about 3/4"-1" but thats about it...I think the shade fits a little tall on me, and might trim 1/2" off of it (but for 1/2" I question if it's needed) I like the Alley cat and don't notice any appreciable buffeting...the shade should sit at about "nose tip" on you I think mine fits mid bridge...also you can slide the shade up on the mount by aproximatly 1"...SOOOO you may find that it works fine for you, If your height is more leg than torso you might find you need to slide it down as I have, if your more torso than leg, then you might find you have to move it up...I think of all of the Mephis products I like the look of this one the best on our bikes (IMHO)but once you have the hardware you can always change the screen also! I don't know if this helped but I hope so! one more thing...of all the places I looked I found the best price by far!!!! was www.mawonline.com just remember you need the Suzuki maurder mounts (also I have the 7" cut out, not the 9") this site is not the easiest to navigate, as everything is listed by part # and it will take some searching of the site for the right # BUT I saved well over $80.00 when compared to some other sites!!! for that savings it was worth the slight navigation issue (and you could get a second screen)

Joe, I agree with Rob. My Alley Cat is superb. I am 5 foot 10 inches. If I were any taller, the windscreen might be too short. I am at work now, so I don't remember which height I bought, I think it was 19 inches. The width is fine, and the small cutouts on the side fit around the turnsignals like it was made for this bike.
If you want a larger windscreen, I have a National Cycle HD Touring Screen I will sell, as I wanted to go with the smaller screen.

Hi Scott, Here's two pics of a Viper. Middle bike in the first pic and pay no attention to the fat bloke in the second!

I just installed a viper on my BA for my trip to Georgia. But try as I might and read and re-read the instructions on how to post, I can't. But you can find the pics in my gallery.

Thanks for the advice everyone I think I will try the Alley Cat and see if it works, if not I guess I can always send it back and try a Fats or a Slim. Does any one have any pics of the Speedmaster with the Alley Cat, Fats or Slim mounted?

I got the Alley Cats on order to replace my Memphis Shades Fats...I kinda accidently scratched them up (don't know how to clean)...plus I wanted a smaller windscreen...leaned toward the Windvest but just bought a seat so thought i should restrain myself. I'll post a picture whenever they arrive.

Memphis Shades Alley Cat - Solar - 7" headlight cutout - Suzuki Marauder(?) mounts. I like the looks. This replaced my Memphis Shades Fats. If you want to see a different angle picture just let me know. Have not tried at highway speeds yet.

Took the alley cat out for about 75mph ride today. I like it alot. I could quickly determine the Alley Cat's are going to be for most of my riding...however, for long trips I will put the Memphis Fats back on. i could feel air pushing my shoulders w/alley cat...kinda e xpected since it is narrower. But, I haven't tried any adjustments with the Cats.
