I'm working through a rough idle (R/R replacement pending) issue right now, but after that I plan to tweak things a bit.
I looked at the Jetting calculator and have a few questions.

First, there does not seem to be a setting for K&N in the airbox - should I use the UNI setting?
My current plan is to replace stock air filter with a K&N and remove 1 baffle from stock pipes (2005 TBA) and jet accordingly. AI is already removed.

I wasn't going to get more involved than that, such as shimming, drilling, replacing needles, etc, but then I stumbled on this kit that got me thinking a little more about it:

Finally, assuming I decide to stick with the debaffle and K&N upgrade, is there any further advantage to removing the snorkle and / or drilling the airbox? I realize that there is a balance to be achieved here, between intake, mixture and exhaust but I'm trying to keep this fairly simple. Mostly it's time to replace the air filter and I'd like a little better sound out of the pipes.

Thanks!

Uni s and K&N s are pretty close to the same, a good job of drilling the airbox nearly equates with pods, there are so many variations of factory TOR s, and how much 1 baffle removed un restricts, the call on jet size is a hard one other than you will need to be going up. 134 s or 136 s may be close enough to dial it in from there. Another good upgrade are the brass idle/air adjusters that Fast Eddy sells, but most jet kits come with the special tool to turn the OEM ones. I run an 06 865 cc with a drilled a box, stock Staintunes (flow slightly better the factory TOR s), drilled out all the recommended places as per the instruction in the kit, 45&138 jets, kawasaki springs, Triumph T-Bird Sport needles and have experienced almost perfect results with a little fiddling. Don't expect your carbs to be perfect after the first mods, it can be a journey, but worth the arrival to final destination.
