More descriptive but it describes something else. To me to call those choppers is a slap in the face to guys that actually have the skill and put the work in to build a real chopper from a stock bike. Anyone can bolt together purchased parts and do a little cake decorating to get what OCC makes. I own bikes that were a pile of parts when I got them with engines and transmission completely torn down and broken that are now running bikes. A couple that started like as parts from multiple bikes that didn't belong together. I have one with a 67 Bonnie engine and the front 1/2 of the frame is mid 50s pre-unit that I cut the down tube in the back and welded in the mount casting and part of the down tube from a mid 60s bike. I made plates to mount the front of the engine. Them made a hardtail for it and welded that together and on. The steering head was cut and welded to a different angle. It has a short front end off of a mid 70s Suzuki GT380 with fork gaiters. A teardrop peanut tank on it and 6" wide flat rear fender on a strut that runs under the fender with a 16" hoop on a 50s Triumph hub since I have the speedo drive on the front wheel with a single disc. It has 12" mini apes on it, big round headlight. etc.... I made this bike when I was bored between projects and wanted to see what I could build from what I had laying around. Both frames I used were bent and no good, the front end came from a parts bike I had ,the fenders and tank I had in the shed. The engine was a junker I got in a trade years before I did this bike and so on. I didn't purchase anything for it except wire and paint. Well engine parts to rebuild the engine too, it's 50 over now. Point being That is a chopper.
These are some shots of it while I was working on it.
