Ian, first, the word "Custom" isn't NEARLY descriptive enough in order to register in the minds of most people a particular "style" of a "custom motorcycle". And hence, the very reason it would be only logical to use the MORE descriptive term "Chopper" in order to describe the kind of motorcycle which features a raked-out front end and long long forks...and which always handle SO freakin' well out there on the road!

Secondly, I would say that at least the FRONT fender of this new Indian Scout is in the "style" of what returning WWII G.I.s would often do to the front fenders of their H-Ds and Indians back in the day, though I WILL agree with ya that THAT might be only a minor styling cue on this machine.
