I just got back from Sturgis as well and got to see this bike up close and in person. I spent a lot of time looking it over and I wanted to like it but I was really disappointed by the Scout. It is just not what I was hoping for. The technical specs look awesome on paper but that bike is ugly in person. Like the Triumph Commander, the big radiator sticking out of the front kills it for me. The matte/graphite colored frame looks cheap in my opinion and the motor is no where near as attractive as the Thunderstroke. Seeing the Scout next to any of the Chiefs left a lot to be desired in the fit and finish department as well. I know that Polaris is targeting Harley riders with the Indian line, which I feel the Chiefs do a good job of competing but the guys who want a Sportser/Dyna/Softail aren't going to be swayed by that Scout.
