I was checking out Pete cycles web site and they show a charity ride on Sunday. I called them to get info and the sales guy said he didn't know a lot about it, said it was done through their motorcycle clubs. I was wondering if anyone around here has any info on this event. Maybe ezrider ? he posted about Pete cycle stuff before.

I haven't heard any of the Pete's RATS mention it on the Yahoo mailing list. You might want to join the group since you are close, great group of guys, wish I lived closer.

Hey All,

Sorry about the delay/time gap between e-mails. But between my computer taking a dive, going away for a week and life in general, it's been a bit hectic. Any way, just wanted to bring everyone up to speed. A lot is being planned for the riding season, so we hope to see everyone at as many as you can make. To those who've been absent or hanging back, we'de love ta see ya, even if you can only make a ride or two.
This Sunday is the Pete's in Baltimore's Open House. We will have table set up looking for new members. The store will be open from I believe 10 AM to 4 PM and their giving a 20% discount on accessories. The Honda Riders have organized a poker run with the benefits going to charity. It's $20.00 to ride, $10.00 for a passenger, BUT you get a T-Shirt, a pin, a sandwich, and the feeling you did something good as well as a nice ride. Several of the RAT's will be participating and since we deemed this a club ride also it counts on the points system. The registration begins at 10 AM so you can meet up with us then or do breakfast at Golden Corral at 9 AM on Rossville Blvd. near Belair Road.
The following Sunday, the 30th, we will be doing a pre-ride for our big event in June the Mason-Dixon Motorcycle Run. We will meet up at Pete's at 9:30 AM for that ride. A great ride and a chance to get a sneek peek at where we will be going in June. This ride also counts in the points.
We've had some new members join lately, so welcome to you all.
Here is a copy of the current "calendar" so you mark yours for up and coming events. Some things to be added include a possible weekend trip/ride to the Shenandoah Valley, a family BBQ, a bull and oyster roast in the fall, and a "classic" bike ride (all will be welcome but we will let the older bikes lead the way).

April 30 (Sun.) : Pack Ride The Mason-Dixon Pre-ride Ride
May 21 (Sun.) : Butler Orchard British/European Meet

June 25 (Sun.) : Mason-Dixon Motorcycle Ride
July 16 (Sun.) : Pack Ride - Bill's Bike Barn in Pa.
August 20 (Sun.) : Pack Ride - the "Eastern Shore" Run (crab cakes)
Sept. 10 (Sun.) : Thurmont Nostalgia Run
(date not official, but usually 2nd Sunday of Sept.)
Sept. 24 (Sun.) : Columbia Ride For Kids
Oct. 1 (Sun.) : Frederick March of Dimes Ride
Oct. 14 (Sat.) : Harford Co. March of Dimes Ride

Also don't forget the monthly meetings, first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Try to be on time as I understand some people got there late for the last one and were locked out, SORRY. We will try and hang a little longer, but John likes us to start pretty much on time so we don't tie him up all night (understandable). If you get there late or you think you might be late call me on my cell at 410-302-4145 and we'll look out for you.

All I know so far is it's a charity poker run (organized by Pete's Honda club) leaving Pete's during the Sunday open house. I have some feelers out to get more info. I'll let ya know. Not sure if I can make but I hope to. Definitely doing the pre-ride the following Sunday. If your interested maybe we can ride up to Pete's together. Let me know...

Went on this ride today, we got a little wet but all in all had a pretty good time. Ended up winning a bike cover on the poker run. I met some of the guys and do think I will join this pack. I won't be going on the sunday ride but when they have their pack meeting we can meet up some where and ride up to Pete's together. Just let me know if your going.
