$300,000 would get you a pretty luxurious home with a pool, here. There are a lot of antique vintage bikes I would rather have. You could probably even get a dozen at that price.

Probably scammed others and had a really bad rating or was booted and made a new ID.

That's just stoopid. But it does provide us with a little humor...

I've got a historical '77 KZ1000 that I'd sell for $250,000.00

A guy I work with had the same bike in brown with a windjammer fairing. His wife wanted him to get rid if it. He had it for sale for more than a year at $450. No buyers. I offered $200 several times but he was solid on the 450.
Last summer while he was out of town, his wife pushed it and 2 other Hondas 500s out to the curb and the trash men took them all away.

Whether you like it or not. That's the real value of old Hondas.

Ummmm...NOT necessarily, Micah. Have you priced an early('69 or '70) CB750 K0 or K1 recently on the collector motorcycle market? Now THOSE babies are goin' for some BIG ol' bucks IF they're in stock condition and not chopped up or customized.

And those early CB750s aren't the only ones now goin' for those big bucks. Mid-to-late 1960's CL72 and CL77(known as the 250cc and 305cc Scramblers), CB and CL350 and the CB and CL450s, along with a few other old Hondas of that vintage are too, AND in fact the whole Japanese Vintage/Collectable Market has been booming for quite a few years now and all the way from now big money early mid-70's Kawasaki 900cc Z1's to '79-'80 Suzuki GS1000S("Wes Cooley")models.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I was looking around and completely restored '69 CB 750's are going for around $8-9000.

I've seen sandcast CB750's goin' for almost twice that figure and actually gettin' it, Paul. They are of course the rarest of that model and thus usually sell at a premium.

All the old Japanese bikes here in Portland are selling for a premium. I kick myself for selling my old 76 CB750 F Super Sport for $450.00 back before I got the Speedmaster. I didn't look around at all. I was just happy someone wanted to take it off my hands. You would be lucky to find a half way decent one for under $2000.00. They, and the KZ's seem to be the bike of choice for a lot of the Cafe Racer crowd.
I still doubled my money.
