28 grand is a lot of money. It is a lot of bike though.

Dry weight of almost 900 lbs.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Even I blanched at the price tag. Apparently guys coming from the Harley world think this is a reasonable price, particularly compared to a CVO.

See, for big bucks like that I would have more rare antiques than I already have and high end ones in mint condition.

People drop 35k on Harleys all the time. My main riding partner borrowed 41 for a most mutha effing CVO, and it still can't outrun a Speedy.BwaHaHa

Yeah, you have to put in perspective. The old hand made Indians from a few years ago STARTED at $35 K and they were crap. A BMW K 1600 GTL "Exclusive" starts at $29,950. Ouch

I'm soooo out of the loop. When I layed out 23K for my Indian, I thought I was at the top of the "premium" bike prices. Now, it almost feels like I got a heck of a deal. Well, almost.

FYI, there are some strong rumors that Indian is going to release a Scout-like smaller and faster Indian on August 2nd. Stay tuned.

That's the bike I am waiting for. I don't need another big cruiser, but a cool looking Indian scout! Might just have room for that.

Now that's different. They kind of went another direction than with the 2014 models. But then again, I don't dislike it too much.

The weight comment was for the subject Roadmaster, not the Scout.

So Kevin, what do we know about this new Scout here? Well, OTHER than it AIN'T GOT NO COOLING FINS!!!! (...yeah, yeah, I see that radiator there, and which appears to be fairly nicely integrated into the bike's overall look, BUT STILL!!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

http://www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/scout-indian-redThey updated their website to show this. I was a little unsure of the looks, but the red does something to me. Great price point (for an Indian).

I was really hoping to see that beautiful power-plant that the Chief gets in a Scout...

Dwight, that was the FIRST thing I noticed - NO FINS!
Here's the Poop... 100 HP, 538 pounds, this sucker will be fast and handle well. At $11K, can you say SO LONG SPORTSTERS!
(The red is starting to grow on me.)
