My advice is if he really does not need to sell it you should not need to buy it. It is a $3500 cdn all the time. He is hugely overpriced.
Remember once you put the miles on the clock over a years time it will be a 14 year old Triumph. You can buy 05-06 models at his price.
I also don't see much special about bikes that are driven little to never. How many bearings and seals have dried up or out, how much corrosion to electrics while it sat? 583 kms per year or it sat doing nothing for several years.
What is the date on the tires? Those bias ply tires last about 3 years, are they 12 years old now? Cables and lub, speedometer cable are also a concern. It really is an old bike regardless of the clock numbers.
