I'm not a Chromeboy, so I have decided to reduce the amount of chrome on my Speedy. Got started last night.....   I think it's looking pretty good.

They aren't "Open Screaming Eagle" loud, but they are definitely noticeable to those around me. If I just mellowly cruise up the street, I won't wake up the baby. Although, when I grab a handfull of throttle, you definitely know where I am.
Does that clear it up? :-) :-) :-)

Ya know Michael, to an old school dude like me, the term "dechrome" just doesn't compute, can't compute... won't compute (just ask Dave!). And that was said in fun and does not imply in any way I don't like where you're going with this. Still though...  but  and

Another little vid I shot this morning. Compares the exhaust sound with baffles in and out. I decided to keep the baffles in because there is a "Tinny Harmonic Sound" when riding down the road with the baffles out. http://youtu.be/xqKIjrFgAt0

Now, now. I'm de chroming also. I'm starting to wonder if those that have to chrome are trying to make up for deficiencies in other areas.
'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.
