My 2003 America is having issues at low RPM's. It almost seems like the kill switch is being turned off for a split second every now and then, but it keeps running. It appears to be both cylinders. It gets worse when it's warmed up and gets really bad in the rain.
I've checked all of the fuel and vent lines for kinks. Changed sparkplugs. I've gone through all of the electrical connections and fuses.
Does this sound like the CDI? Other suggestions or ideas?

It does sound a lot like CDI problems. The Bakelite (or whatever it is) on the CDI tends to form hairline cracks which in turn allows moisture to get in. I had trouble with mine in the rain until I dried out my CDI, smeared chalking all over it to seal it and never had problems since.

Live to love, love to live.

Same issues on the '04 Speedy. Ran fine until rain, then splutterpoppopbango (x 3) . When it was dry, would run fine. Got a new Procom and it runs good , like amber sorghum syrup pouring over the crystal lip of a mason jar, narrowing into a sweet ribbon, folding up in caramel ridges and mingling with salty sweet yellow butter among the delectable voids and toasted peaks of the steaming biscuit.
Yeah, sorta like that.
