The trip home always seems a lot longer.
I understand what you're saying about the 412s. I think they're much better than the stockers when running hard through the twisties, and they made a significant difference for me when 2 up with my wife, but for everyday cruising around town, I don't see a big improvement over stock. But I had 36,000 miles on my stock shocks when i bought the 412s, so I knew they probably wouldn't last much longer, and I didn't have the cash for the 440s. The 440s, from all reports in here, are about the best shock you can get for our bikes.
