I installed my 865 Option 2 Fire Starter yesterday. No serious performance testing yet, however it fired right up, runs strong & smooth, no decel popping. It is at least as good as the TTP reprogrammed Gill OEM that it replaced, & most likely better.

Igniter is located on top of BC AEK storage box, under the seat. In my situation I found it best to route the connector to the starboard side of the frame (OEM is on the port side).:

There isn't as much room under the tank on the starboard side, however the supplied connector cable length wasn't long enough to optimally position the CDI where I wanted it if the connector was located on the port side.
Bottom line, nice unit, however a bit longer cable length would have been appreciated for my install.
