Delrin in not the same a UHMW. It's more Nylon like but it is a type of Acetal. It's hard and has no give to it. Unlike UHMW, it is more stable due to moisture and temperature changes. UHMW grows and swells like crazy. It has very good wear properties, UHMW does too but Delrin is better. It makes great chain guides and other wear surfaces. One of the self lubricating versions is called Nyoil.
