With traditional motorcycles; combustion engines and a manual shift transmission, there is learning curve, and an art to operating the machine. These HDs are twist and go.. Let's for a moment consider that anyone who has ever been on a moped can now throw a leg over this bike and do 0-60 in four seconds.
I can forsee the unfamiliar, untrained individual getting themselves into a good deal of trouble.
no different than a car. anybody can get in and just go. and bad things do happen
Thats likley true, but i am betting there is some truth to the statement, electric anything is power on demand, their is no curve really, very little, you go to WOT and you are at WOT in a split second, the torque is unbeleivable.
The bike will only matter to those that want it, us baby boomers and so forth will be buying less as a wee more time goes by, youngers today seem to be right into the cafe stuff and just retro stuff period, or retro for us anyways :-) I see fewer concerned with the power and more concerned with style then anything it seems. Regardless it will be interesting to see where bikes end up.
