I didn't take what you said as any kind of insult, misconception only. I know I have push started CDI bikes that wouldn't crank so good chance a kickstart would work. As far as EFI goes, I don't know. No reason not to put one on my carbed 04 though and it isn't there. I am no fan of CDI or EFI as all around here know. Used to be able to replace my entire ignition system for a little over $100 if I needed to. In most cases my ignition would be fixed with an $8 set of points and I could get that home with a piece of sandpaper.
