Glad it worked out for ya Keith. Which dealership did ya go to?
I took it to Cycle Sports. Local independent, near the house, specializes in mostly vintage Jap bikes.
He sees an occasional new Triumph, other than mine, even did a 904 big bore on one a few years back - nobody I know, or he either, until they showed up with the bike and the kit and asked him to do it.
Owner and two techs. Do my tire work, and pretty much everything else for me, too, other than oil changes and chains. I was referred to him by a co-worker friend of mine 10 years ago, so, with 100K miles on the bike, they too feel somewhat of a vested interest in it and our common well being.
It's the kind of place I can ride up and walk in the back or side door instead of coming in through the front door, and feel welcome there. He does some great rebuilds and customs, and has had a few in some magazines recently, like the one David Edwards started up after he left Cycle World. Jap stuff, but cool stuff, too.
