Saturday night, the brother of one of our truck drivers was killed in a mc crash. He was cut off by a drunk driver. I knew this guy, he was A-OK. I don't know what else to say right now. Charlie

Sorry to hear of this as well. Thoughts are with them.
It seems the odds of fatal accidents on motorcycles regardless of fault are higher at night.
The motorcycle safety fella that was killed when he stuck a deer was riding at night. I see a patriot Guard rider was killed in Colorado driving at night.
Reminds me to be extra vigilant if and when I am out after dark.

At least they got him. He's being held on $100k bond, charged with 2nd degree manslaughter, DUI, and failure to grant the right of way. I was sick to my stomach all day.

Sorry to hear Charlie. Hope they nail him at least as hard as the guy they convicted recently here in Tucson for an incident aalmost just like this one. The now inmate got 16 years, which doesn't change the fact that the kid he killed is still dead, but it's a longer sentence than what I see most people getting.

I can definitely understand why. My sympathies and condolences to you and his family.

My condolences to the family. It scares the crap out of me to drive at nite. If the deer dont get you than the drunks will. when the sun goes down the bike goes in the garage, or if I'm out on the road I slow down by 10 or 20 mph. Mark

Sorry to hear that. My thoughts and prayers... This seem to be a big problem all over...

Sorry to hear this Charlie. Please let the family know we all care and pray for them. I ride a lot during darkness. I really watch the radar a lot more.
