Dumping me on side of road like someone turned off a switch, starts again quickly, most of the time, happened at speed and when sitting at stop light. Reminds me of my Hardly days. Lucas Electronics Lives!

$416.16 repair from dealer with oil change (my oil and filter)

So what did they repair/replace? Maybe it was just a loose battery connection?

Replaced the rectifier regulator and some shorted wires.

Well if he replaced the R/R with a new Triumph part and did other work I would say that's quite the bargain. As I recall the TRI R/R list for around $600. I could be wrong on that pricing.

You may be thinking of the CDI unit. This is on the bottom of the America. Looks like a rectangular box with fins and wires coming out of it, hard to get to.  going to pick her up now.

$290.20 for the part, Assume it is Triumph, $70.00 per hour shop time. All in all, running very well for now, no trouble home, but, I was never able to reproduce the stalls or dumps on side of the road, so, maybe we are fixed.

Happen to smell any plastic burning? Idunno what our r/r's look like, but on a Goldwing you could smell it burning.
