What are you guys using? Sorry for all the question, I've actually tried searching and find little results when I do. I put about 120 miles on the BA today. I probably shouldn't have since I need a valve job and my front wheel has a ding in it but after finally getting it running after almost a yr a couldn't resist. I only put about 300 miles on last yr before I messed up the head. Anyways since I don't know how old the plugs are I figure I would go ahead and get a a couple so just the satisfaction of knowing they are right. Oh and burnt my dang arms in that little amount of riding

I still have the stock plugs in mine from 04, check em and put em back.

NGK Iridium good for 60k+ Km apparantly. Never look at em ....

Unless your going to upgrade wires and coils stick with OEM. To upgrade one without the other is not a waste but it's also not taking full advantage of an upgrade.

your owner's manual has the plug specs: make, part #, gap, torque, etc...

spark plugs are pretty much just a dumb end of a wire sparkmaker thing, one's about as good as another. all these iridium, neodynium high pluton quattrio electrodic capacitor emittitron stoggnitonic altruisticon element sorta plugs are pure marketing bravado. you might get 1/4 more hp. at 8,000 rpm with some fancy plugs. that said, it's more about the energy going to the plug than the plug itself.

Those experienced in tuning forced induction motors will disagree with your opinion.
IMO, in our twins, spark plugs are not going to make power, however under some circumstances sub-optimal plugs can lose power.
IMO, the most effective combo in our bikes are PVL coils (branded as "Nology" in NA), TPUSA Magnecor "red" wires, & NGK IX plugs.
The above said, the OEM stuff performs just fine.

yeah, in performance and racing applications, a good high energy spark makes a difference, but in our bikes and the way we ride 'em, I doubt we'd notice any difference.

Both of the cars I drive specify expensive Platinum plugs in the mtce. specs. I suspect regular ones would work too, maybe just not last as long.  They are such a PITA to change, I spend the money.

Magnecor wires? Hmmm... never heard of them and their web site does not seem to directly mention part number for our bikes.
Anyone have a reference or a good pointer?
