Four small incisions, they laser that sucker off and vacuum it out, the operation is the easy part. Living without one is when the fun starts. Good luck, Buddy.

Having been there, done that, my only recommendation is that you have your surgeon insist on at least one overnight stay after the procedure. Too many variables for the out-patient route that many hospitals recommend. If the hospital balks, offer to reschedule for a time when they hospital's census is lower.

After you've recovered, life returns to normal. I've heard that certain foods can cause problems, but that isn't an issue for me.

Less weight means more speed! And think of the fuel you'll save from lugging that heavy ole gallbladder thing around!

Now THAT is a good idea! Cover it in some lead foil to take the dings out and sell it as "slightly used". They'd do it to us! (In fact, I just ate a manual fuel pump for my ole chrysler that came from there. The warranty was so circumspect that is wasn't worth any trouble.)

I figured the wait was your choice. Sorry it's giving you so much trouble. I put mine off for over a year - then had a particularly bad attack, called the surgeon's office, then drove to the hospital. I was in the O.R. in <3 hours.

Gonna get a surgical two-fer and get it all done at once? You will be like a new man.
