Shell Rotella T6 5W40 synthetic diesel oil (5 liter jug at Walmart for $37 Canadian) is an excellent alternative to the high priced Amsoil and Mobil motorcycle oils that have served us so well. Since our bikes require oils with JASO MA and API SH ratings, the Rotella T6 meets these and is synthetic. I've checked on many forums and all who have used it have gotten long life and no issues.
One thing to note with Mobil 1 VTwin 20W50 and the 4T 10W40 motorcycle oils is that they no longer have the JASO rating advertized on the official website
