After further inspection I was sporting an 18 on the front sprocket (is it me or does triumph not have a clue which size sprocket they put on.) Anyway, I installed the 16 and took her for a spin. I could really tell a big difference with the "get up and go", very noticeable. At highway speed before on an 18 I was at 4000rpm @ 70 mph, with the 16 I'm at 4500 @ 70 mph. Not a bad swap for the gain in pick up. Although I'm still getting ready to purchase a chain and sprocket set I think I will keep the 16 on the front. The set from Eddy runs 205 or so for the 17/42 combo plus x-ring 525 chain, he has my business...good guy. Haven't tried to spin the tire yet with this setup but the night is young! haha.
