Being of a similar height, I also wanted a couple of extra inches of leg room - unfortunately the position of the headers means this is not a simple task. I know some people have put spacers between the frame and the foot control bar (fcb) but I didn’t think this would be enough for what I wanted

I have tried having a fcb reversed and widened, but did not like the way this looked on the bike. (However I gave the fcb to Martin Boichat & he has used it so have a look at pictures of his bike.)Something else I looked at was getting aftermarket controls with a low level brake reservoir, but when I tried this with a custom made mounting bracket, I didn’t like the amount of flexing I was getting.

I have been using Kuryakyn switchblade foot-pegs for quite a few years, and they certainly help ease things - as well as the normal foot position, the heel support can be flicked out ( and in) while on the go, which changes the knee angle a bit. I can also rest the back of my legs on the peg itself which means that I can have straight, or slightly bent, legs if I twist them as well.

I have been using this, combined with the Pro-Tac backrest that Fast eddy sells, since just before we went to Italy without ant major issues.

Gook luck

Shaun.
