I'm curious about those who winterize their bikes. When you do this do you shut off the fuel tap, run the bike till the carbs suck dry and it shuts down? Make sure the tank is full to eliminate condensation, add the fuel additive? Plug the exhaust and air box to keep the critters out, put her on a trickle charger?
That is fairly close to verbatim for me. I also coat the chrome with something as the humidity is about 96% in the winter here and slick up the pistons/cylinders with some Marvel M. Oil.
All of the above but once the carbs have run dry I flood them with the conditioned fuel a suggestion I found on a how to winterized your bike blog. His reasoning was that there will always be some gas left in the carb that will go off and gum up the works.
