Anyone on here tried this in their Triumphs or other 2 or 4 stroke machines? A friend told me about it this past weekend raving about it saying he had used it for years in lawnmowers, motorcycles, 4x4s etc. and it has helped to keep all them running much longer then the average. He has a float plane out of Winnepeg as well but his two partners aren't sold on it so that is a no go but every other engine in his barn gets it.

He also flies the long haul from Vancouver to Sydney for AC and they won't let him use it there either.

Haven't used Seafoam in the Triumph, but have used it in other motorcycles that I have owned. It does a great job cleaning the system.

I use it as a fuel stabilizer for winter storage. Better than Stabil imo.

I use it as a stabilzer over winter and the first few tanks in the spring get a can spread out over the three tanks,i think you can even run you engine on this stuff alone LOL. never had an issue with it, lawnmower, blower, weed trimmer etc etc all get treatments.

This is one product that seems like more is not better ? Follow instructions and it works great! Kid down the street got a 250 ninja would idle fine but give it throttle and would stutter and die put some in tank run it up and down street about a dozen times at idle and it slowly got better and better and then opened up and run strong ! He loves me now lol if I need a hand with something he is always ready to help lol it really is good stuff and works fine in any engine 2 stroke or 4

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

Yes, however the higher the Seafoam concentration the leaner the AFR's will become, all other things equal. Very high concentrations will require the enrichener/choke.

At 10.00 a bottle I don't think that would be a problem ! Good stuff, I use it religiously in my mix jug for my two stroke fleet.

Sea foam is also a nice color of green and it compliments my hazel eyes

I found this out because I thought my snowthrower had a gunked carb circuit, so I used a high concentration of Seafoam to "cure" it...the real problem, however was a blocked gas cap vent

lol i hate it when the gas cap vent plugs the carbs

I use SeaFoam in everything that I feed with ethanol added gasoline. Couple times a year in the cars/trucks that get almost daily use and every few fillups in smaller engines or those that sit for longer periods of time. Basically, if a load of ethanol fuel is going to be in the tank for more than a couple of weeks, it has SeaFoam it in. If I have a tank of ethanol free gas, I don't bother. I wish SeaFoam was less expensive.

Chevron Techron is my #2 choice. When I find it by the case at Sams, BJ's or Costco for a good price, it moves up to #1.

I use it in any of my machines that sits for very long. My son has "fixed" a few used cars that he was working on with the stuff.

Thought of getting fake contacts once in Sea Foam green when blond was still the predominant colour of my hair.

In the past I have used Stabil during winter storage, but over the last winter the carbs still fouled up...I drained the tank, filled with fresh gas with Seafoam; it took approx 50miles but that cleared the rubbish and saved a carb strip down. OK a fresh tank with Stabil may have achieved the same but then it shouldn't have allowed the problem in the first place!

Seafoam, great stuff.

I"m fortunate to live in an area where some year round riding is "possible", most years!

I'm curious about those who winterize their bikes. When you do this do you shut off the fuel tap, run the bike till the carbs suck dry and it shuts down?
Make sure the tank is full to eliminate condensation, add the fuel additive?
Plug the exhaust and air box to keep the critters out, put her on a trickle charger?

That is fairly close to verbatim for me. I also coat the chrome with something as the humidity is about 96% in the winter here and slick up the pistons/cylinders with some Marvel M. Oil.

All of the above but once the carbs have run dry I flood them with the conditioned fuel a suggestion I found on a how to winterized your bike blog. His reasoning was that there will always be some gas left in the carb that will go off and gum up the works.

I have a weird "wintering" problem here in Iowa. Every spring, early, little wasp like flying bugs like to build their mud nests in any lil hole they can find. Garden hose ends, rubber hose outlets, carb tubes, anything small, even if it has the smell of gas about it. It can really screw with your machinery !

I do similar. I worry that if I run the carbs dry, there could be parts (springs, shims, whatever) that could rust! Gas is a good rust inhibitor, just make sure it's treated.

I used Startron this past year when I had to put my bikes up for an extended period. I have been a faithful user of Seafoam for many years but I have been converted, both bikes fired up immediately and never gave a hiccup after sitting from September until March. Yep, ethanol "enriched" fuel too.

Makes a good mouthwash in a pinch when you're pulled over, leaving the bar. Totally transforms alcohol into something non registering.
