I understand how the cap top shown in the above auction works... without the place to grip it that the stock cap has, how hard is it to grip this cap for removal? Does anyone have one of these type caps installed? Any pics?

Here is what the painted tank cover looks like:

They are pretty cool but I share your concern about being able to get a decent grip for removal. It looks as though they might be a bit taller than the stock cap.

I have to palm my cap to get it off. it is flush with the top of the dash. [image][/image]
