Hey Desmond... although you may feel a little foolish and your wife is not impressed, take comfort in knowing you're not the only one to do something like this. I've dropped my bike twice (that I remember) doing the same thing and once was at a filling station in front of bunches of people. It can however, make for good story telling as you now know!
