complete sense but I also wonder how much oil is actually slinging onto the sensor. The gear we see is to the right of center.... I guess the only way to really tell is run it with nothing in the hole!

Another question is, how much isolation is there from the O-ring? I know that grabbing the gauge when the engine is hot will certainly provoke some choice words!
