What's the longest trip you guys and gals have taken on your Americas and Speedmasters? I'm not talking about the trips some of us took back in the late 60s and early 70s.
'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.

I hardly ever count miles. But I regularly do 12 to 14 hours in the saddle with a big grin on my face!

I went on a 6 week ride-about in July-August of 2011 and rang up 8,100 miles by the time I rolled back in my driveway. I stayed off the slabs as much as possible and took over 4000 pictures, which equates into stopping often to smell the flowers and appreciate the views.

I figure it was about 3500 miles Z and I did down to Southwest Triumph Fest in 2011 over 12 days. The ride is documented about three quarters of the way down this page.

From Des Moines to LA & San Diego and back in 2010. About 2100 miles each way, certainly not the most direct route, and about 1,400 miles while I was there. So about 5600 miles in three weeks.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

A bit over 7000 on a trip to Florida via the Ga rally. Just did 3521 on a trip to Strawn, Tx. Many other 2-3K trips around the Western US. On all these trips I took a Haynes manual and about 10 lbs of tools. Never had to open either other than for an oil change in Florida.
