When you have 75% market share, you will have the majority of the used bikes for sale as well. 8 pages of HD want ads doesn't equate to poor product quality or no demand, it equates to how many are in the marketplace.
It's true, at this time HD resale is not as great as it was 4-5 years ago, but it is still a heck of a lot better than my Triumph's resale value.
Enjoy you new Softail. I have found that owning a Harley is a enjoyable experience. Save up your money and buy another Triumph as well. We'll let you back into the Triumph club again!

They don't have 75% market share. In fact they have the same as Honda, 26%. As far as resale value. You spend $20K on a Softail and you'll probably get $15K for it when it's 3 years old. You spend $8K on an America and you'll probably get $5K when it's 3 years old. Percentage wise the America has dropped more but not dollar wise.
