Emgo Bell-End Megaphone, Standard Universal Muffler - Chrome 80-84010

These mufflers are 26" long and have sizing kit for connection to the head pipe. I would use a P clamp to hang the muffler to the existing bracket.

Anyone use Emgo mufflers? I don't want them too loud but love the look of the bell end megaphones. If you have a set, can you post a pic and comment on loudness? I am not sure if the baffle can be removed in this muffler, but if it can, I can always re-pack it.

Depends how they are baffled, I have a couple sets and they are very loud.

I was hoping they would have SOME baffling so they wouldn't be too loud but can always put in some more fiberglass around the existing baffle, I guess. They are close to the top of my CL&P agenda (chrome, leather and power). The seat needs modified and I need a chrome cover for the countershaft sprocket as the gray one from the factory is UGLY and the battery needs a cover. If only I were born rich!

I also have Emgo 19" turnouts and there is little to no real baffle to speak of. They are pretty darn loud. I've had them on 6.5 years and they are still in pretty decent shape too.

I had a pair of Emgo reverse-cones on my '03 for a while, but they were REALLY obnoxious.

Check out the Thrush universal cans (i.e., "Cherry Bombs"). They're still plenty loud but take the harshness out. They're inexpensive, durable, look cool (I think), and it's not that hard to fab up a bracket to support them.
