I removed the AI on my EFI Speedmaster a couple weeks ago, riding it today and it was losing power and revving high. Came back and one of the engine plug bolts was slightly loose. Tightened it up, seems to have solved the problem. Anyone else have this problem ?

No one would have that problem unless they didn't tighten the plug bolt to the correct torque. You would have the same issue with a missing or cracked vac cap.

I did torque them properly. Is it common for them to loosen?

I did. It was just one that was slightly loose. My main concern is knowing if this is defiantly the problem.

You are the first I have heard of having one come loose.

If it is running right then you have probably got it solved. Is your bike EFI or carbed? Check all the things you replaced, disconnected, airbox plug etc just to be sure.

Oops he did say that. As an EFI he needs to make sure the airbox is plugged where the AI connected to the airbox.

If that plug was loose ,even though it is after the combustion chamber, could effect running since it could effect the oxygen sensor.

Beginning to thinks its nothing to do with the A I. Everything is plugged up tight and I'm still having issues. Took her out today and when I get to around 50mph, give it more gas, the rpm's go up and the bike doesn't respond. Loss of power.

Could be. Any other signs I should look for indicating clutch problems?
