Looks like a great idea. I like the way it reduces clutter on the battery terminals. Like you say, the size probably only works with airbox removed. I made a smaller more modest version which sits under the tank by the rear engine mount. It has 4 switched fused accessory controls for the accessories I wanted individual control over.
The Denali Powerhub2 connections are either always on or switched with ignition, which is good but I need more versatility with accessible individual switches for some accessories/circuits. Have a think about what how you want to control the power to each accessory.
My accessories & controls currently hard wired to the battery but I would put through the Powehub2 (if I had no airbox): - Heated gear connection - switched with ignition - Cigarette plug for iPhone charger - always on - Spare Powerlet plug (battery charging) - always on - Direct headlight harness - switched with ignition (but retaining the starter headlight cutout relay) - Headlight modulator.
In my switch box: - Boosteroo iPod amplifier - switched - GPS - switched - Voltmeter - wired on with ignition but a switch here to turn on when ignition is off to check battery status without starting the engine. - Bypass for low battery starter disabler - switched - when the battery falls below 12.6v the ECU disables the starter. This is a bypass for emergencies to engage the starter.
If, like me, you need individual switch control over some accessories/electrical circuits you could always add an inline switch somewhere handy.
