Careful there, The America is Triumph's "girls bike" as seen on Triumph's own site. All rider pictures of the 2014 America are with a woman rider! And previous years Triumph description has called the America "perfect for the beginner rider."
Of course this only began after the Thunderbird was introduced as Triumph's Big Twin relegating the America/Speedmaster to Sportster status.
The America wasn't a girls bike in 2002.
Well, some of us were a lot smaller back then. Just sayin'...
Well, have to say ,,, went through a phase where I bought the bikes of my youth and after fixing up etc, etc{$$$} and the day of the "1st ride" the reliazation hit - a 1974 Suzuki GT 185 does not propel a 225 lb man as well as it did a 115 lb pimply faced kid...
