Mine was cracked, about 1/8th of an inch across the top of the boss....took it to a friend who fabricated a "collar" to fit around the boss at close tolerance, then JB Welded the area. Started fine a few times, then had to take the cover off again to replace the gasket, and the pin came off with the side cover (not good), and the JB Weld was cracked circumferencially....Took vice grips, re-inserted pin, and TRIED to get the boss to break, but seems solid at this point...re-assembled and crossed fingers...not sure how many starts I have left....Maybe 1, maybe 1000....
