Dog33 is correct, the Safe-Start can be used to repair an engine casing if you have all the broken parts. But ideally it's best to protect your engine from the outset, as when this happens the idler gear tends to grind the front of the engine case away which creates fine particles of aluminium circulating in your engine oil.
