Hello everyone after a long 7 years without a Triumph I am the proud owner of a 06 graphite gray America with only 3500 miles. It is set up just the same way that my 03 America. I lost her in a crash 7 years ago. A cager in a van was half way in my lane on a curvy mountain road in North Carolina. I leaned as far as I could until the bike slid from under me broadsiding him just behind his front door. I was lucky that I did not hit him head on. After the crash I said wow didn't hurt as bad and I thought until I went to stand up and fell. Being hard headed I tried to stand yet again and fell realizing that I had a broken leg. Airlifted to the hospital in Asheville I had a broken femur and wrist. The two week stay was not my idea of how to spend my vacation. I had 5 operations on my leg and was out of work for 6 months. Now I walk like Fred Stanford but at least I can walk. I bought the 06 America not really knowing if I was afraid to ride or not but its in my blood since I have been riding since I was 10. My first ride was to bring the bike home about a 60 mile ride. I must admit I was nervous and realized that my riding skills has eroded. So far I have put about 300 miles on the America and I am still alittle nervous and almost overly cautious. After more miles under me I am sure that it will get better. I have a few questions and will post them in their proper place. Peace

Welcome back I should say, G'day as you were a member here before me.I have a right leg that doesn't work also as the result of a car plowing me off my 1971 Triumph Tiger. I understand your wariness. It'll pass as you re-quaint yourself. Ride on.And watch those Damm cars!

Welcome back, Brother! It's been a long time for ya. I quit riding for three years after a deer took me out and then got back on almost as an afterthought. Been riding another 25 years and I've only taken out ONE more deer! (Course, I've narrowly missed a few more! Stinkin deer!)
