Can anyone recommend a jack/lift for the Triumph America? There's a highly rated PowerZone jack on Amazon and one of the reviewers rated it low because it is not well suited for the Thruxton and he can't use it to change the oil. As I don't yet own a motorcycle at all, I don't really know what to look for.

Thanks.

I have 2 from harbor Freight, one is a full length table type lift and the other is the smaller type that lifts on the frame rails under the engine. I have found either one to be a good lift and can be had cheaply when they are on sale. That or one can be made very very cheaply out of some wood and piece of pipe.

I have a Jet branded lift, pretty much identical to Harbor Freight or Sears and it's been very useful. Wait for a sale...you don't need a lift to change the oil with any of these bikes including that Thruxton.

Been happy with the Sears model for years. Built like a tank.

I use a Harbor Freight lift table. Find a Cycle World or Rider magazine and get the coupon and the table is only $299. As you can see it easily handles my 800 lb Rocket III.

You can also get the chock for around $25 with a coupon.

I wish I had room for that lift table at that price!

That lift table is beastly and pretty awesome.

My main interest in a lift is allowing me to easily get the wheels off the ground to maintain the chain/tires. It sounds like the lifts you guys are all mentioning are pretty much the same as what I've been seeing on Amazon.

I also use a Black Widow scissor jack to lift just the wheels.

Wait until you try to get it off the truck; it's like moving a box of boat anchors. Very sturdy once it is set up.

That is badass! I need to get one. Even with the bike jack (Costco, similar to the other frame rail jacks), I have to bend over too much, that table would eliminate that.

BTW how much does it weigh?

I'm gonna guess 300lbs. The box is flat so you can't get a great handhold, my buddy Porter's table gave us a nice dance coming out of his truck bed.

OK, I'll bring home a couple of bodybuilders/powerlifters from the gym if I get one
